I love this more each time I play. The way it begins so elegantly simple and grows into a rousing anthem. Captures the mad soul of the stage production and imbues it with melody, catchiness, and heartbreaking warmth.

I came opening night and I’m still humming these songs!!! Phenomenal job cast and crew🔥🔥🔥

Small, nit-picky note: Stew and Heidi's brilliant creative partner/director on PASSING STRANGE was (and is) Annie DORSEN, not "Dorsey." That final title slide should be corrected if possible. Huge fan of the show (saw it 5 times off-and-on-Broadway). Have a great run!

In September 1995 the Negro problem performed in Palo Alto opening for cake and a Black person went around town pulling down our posters because he thought we were KKK and he called my office and I explained- Stew has always been a “crazy weird kid” as he says above and it took him a while to simplify the message and yes Bill Bragin is 100% the genius who hit a bull’s-eye no one else could see even people who believed Mark Steve Stewart was a prophet

2021 was a rewarding year from Shotgun Players. The Claim was accomplished and entertaining. The Cassandra Sessions was one of my favorite Shogun productions ever. A Special Shout Out and Thank You for the A Sonnet a Day series near the beginning of the Quarantine. I teach As You Like It at Mission College, and A Sonnet a Day was the first time ever that some of my students were treated to accessible Shakespeare/.
